Besides which, I just went and had a look at it in person.  It's an LSD - you can't counter rotate the output shafts, ie it's not Torsen.

However it is serious locked up like my diff is.  Someone has either fully locked it or installed nasty plates in it - my bet is that the rear end will be making very noticable scrabbling noises on sharp turns just as mine does.

You mean the large gear at the bottom in the third pic?  That's the input shaft....  kinda common to all diffs...
