WRX   2004-05-06 18:41:00 <Hunt M>
Hey all,

Some idiot on my msn keeps talking out of his bottom. Saying that WRX’s are
the sh*t and how they would beat any MKIII supra blah blah blah.

Does anyone know what a standard 1998 STI WRX does ¼ mile and also what
about a new one? And what boost they run standard?

Cheers

Hunt

yeah, that being the "be all and end all" 22b, the run of the mill wrx's
aren't that great. my supra used to play with those all the time, but that
was "street type racing", not actual drag racing. modified wrx's are quick
off the line, but they just seem to loose all the rush above 80-100k, so
usually the supra can reel them in, depending on how far you want to go...

Yep, It's called low low low gearing.

I used to have fun with older WRX's in my XJ12..
They would love to show the big old car how to stoplight race.
Of course, they had to change gear twice before they get to 100.. I'm still in
first gear ;) 460Nn of torque and zero lag helps a bit to.
Oh the joys of having only 2 gear changes between 0 and 250 Km/h.

Regards,
Stuart.
