toyota supra parts   2004-05-11 10:17:00 <ronniekumar>
Yesterday on the work to work on the motorway, the front right tyre burst and I crashed into the back of truck and spun twice and took out a lamp post. The front of car is damaged as well as top of car from the falling lamp-post.This was at 100km/hr and I did not feel any thing.
Radiator, frontal impact beam was crushed.Luckily my intercooler and engine is still intact.
So my black supra is a write-off.Engine,springs,shocks,fuel pump front suspension will go into my red supra.Rest will be for sale.
So any-one who is interested in parts, send me any-email.I want to get rid of the wrecked car as soon as possible.
I also have a ct26 in very good condition for sale, also I have spare engine(minus cylinder head). with manifolds, etc.

Ronnie, could you get some photos - it's interesting to see how well the
Supra Mk III holds up in "incidents" at motorway speeds.

really sorry to hear man, i hope you weren't hurt or anything!! why was the
car written off? is it mainly cause of the post landing on the roof? how
did the roof stand up to the pole landing on it?

Probably the age,I have had the tires for 4 years.I just replaced the rears
and in process of replacing the front.I also found that brake pads for that
side had uneven wear. The outer pad had twice as much wear as the inner
pad.Not sure what would cause that.
I just feel a thing when I crashed into the truck and lamp-post.I just got
of the car like nothing had happened.

The roof had dents(not major) on the front and rear and windscreen
cracked, also rear spoiler broken.Side of drivers door(close to door hinge)
was also damaded,The car spun and hit lamp-post on that side.Undernearth of
car, some bits of chasis damaged, with the whole front where radiator sits is
damaged. There is 2 box sections which potrude out the front of the car ,this
is where front spoiler is bolted to.One of them is bended,so I guess with
this amount of damage,it is not worth repairing.

With the Supra having typical cheap-arse poxy sliding calipers it is worth
stripping them down to lubricate the sliding joints every few years. This
is not a major job and ensures they slide well and good lubrication will
ensure the load is applied evenly to both sides of the disk.

The rear calipers stopped sliding on my Mk2 years ago. I was passing cars
outside Kaikoura and pulled out of a line of cars when a car appeared out of
a dip in the road. I could have passed but touched the brakes lightly to
pull back into line. The rears both locked and I fishtailed across SH1 and
parked on the opposite side of the road (thankfully grass, not a cliff)
crapping myself. I overhauled the rear calipers very soon after that!

Richard

Um I'm refering to the inside door handle :S mines been torn off... thats on the left hand passenger side.... also have you got the cup holder option? mines broken..... and to confirm its the inside panel on the right rear seat, tell me if you're not sure what I mean.... and lastly have you got a stereo to go inside a supra? even a tape deck is fine if you're selling it...
