Well, there are two possibilities, one is that is it really a veilside job, in
which case why is it here? those are $100,000++ cars that veilside builds to
VERY specific customers, and they would only come on the market if something
was VERY wrong with them. seriously - people collect veilside originals.
So I'm assuming it is probably not, based purely on the fact that it is in NZ.
Nitrous is a very easy way to add a lot of HP, but not always a reliable way
(unless done VERY carefully).
I would be very very surprised if the engine is anything other than air
filter, cat-back exhaust, and a basic 150HP secondary-injector nitrous shot
system - just sit back and wait for the melted pistons! perhaps it has cams,
but who can tell that without an engine strip.
Could be wrong, but I would not TOUCH it without a VERY good talk to the
mechanics who did the setup, and a good check over it after that to check
they were telling truths also, or at least one hell of a lot of
documentation.
A golden opportunity or a nightmare? who can be sure.
Regards,
Stuart.
