Talk to Barry Manon - BAZDA on toyspeed.

He sorted me out. Supplied calipers (4 pot superlites), made adapters and
advised what rotors and pads to use.

I'm using Ferodo 2500's as I want my car to be a daily without the pads
munching rotors all the time.

I can get the 350Z rotors for very cheap through a mate at AutoStop on
wairau road....

Barry is definitely the guy to talk to if you want something made up. I
went with Nissan 4 pot calipers with 350z track rotors and he made up an
adapter and hub-centric rings for a very good price.

Their pad contact area is small and the pads they use are regular road pad
thickness.

Re: Wilwood MKIII brakes   2014-02-24 08:20:00 <Llewellyn Giles>
yeah they are only designed to work once with pads from RaceBrakes that
could only take 50'C once and then explode.

The R32 combo is fantastic and worth doing over the Wilwoods as the cost is
about 20% of the wilwoods and you get about 90% of the benefits.

The R32 calipers aren't really that cheap....More like 90% of the cost of
Wilwoods...

I paid $100 for mine. and have been hands down the best mod ive done to this car. with ebc red pads never had a dot of brake fade with a full weight limited car doing 15laps at a time on the circuit.
never once ended up in the kitty litter like a douche...

What rotors are you using Nick?
And what calipers? The 4 pot sumitomo or brembo?
What fluid do you run?

The R32 combo is fantastic and worth doing over the Wilwoods as the cost is about 20% of the wilwoods and you get about 90% of the benefits.

How thick are the pads? I'm guessing regular road pad thickness?

I've heard about the nightpager kit. Didn't realise that it used MK4 rotors.

Got any in car videos of you not ending up in the kitty litter like a

RE: Wilwood MKIII brakes   2014-02-27 12:33:00 <Nick>
Cool, cheers for that ill look into it next time i need to replace my rotors
Ive heard people mention the 350s but didnt realize they were a direct swap for the nightpager kit

Wouldnt happen to know if it gets rid of that silly aluminum shim youve got to run when using the mk4 rotor?

Re: Wilwood MKIII brakes   2014-02-27 12:37:00 <Jonathan Walker>
Just to clarify, i have absolutely no intention of removing the brakes from my operational z32. Those brakes arent fantastic and are prone to noise and piston seizure from my experience. Id prefer the look of the wilwoods ( no nissan on them!) and it will be part of a bigger chunk of work to ensure only one lvvc session.

Yes no silly aluminium shim but you do need to clearance the calipers
slightly (a file and about 30 seconds on each one will let the disk slip
in).
